Featured Project: Front Steer Micro-Tunneling

Three Point Construction completed one of the first front steer micro-tunneling projects in the United States — requiring extreme precision under active utilities and structural constraints.

Working within inches of critical infrastructure and through hard rock conditions, the team installed a 42-inch steel casing while maintaining exact line and grade.

Completed ahead of schedule, under budget, and within 1/10 of an inch accuracy.

Pax River Naval Air Station

Three Point Construction installed two 20-inch sleeves beneath an active taxiway at Pax River Naval Air Station in Maryland — approximately 120 feet each.

The scope included excavation of entry and exit pits, installation of both casings, placement of the water line in each, and full site restoration.

All work was completed in just one week.
